About Me

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, a curious dreamer, and a software developer.

Building and tinkering is something that I enjoy since young. From LEGO® cars and origami planes to mechanical keyboards and software today, working with my hands and seeing the results never fail to bring me immense joy and satisfaction. The sense of achievement, the jolt of excitement from successfully taking what was in my mind and bringing it to life drives me to keep working on new projects, and to keep learning new and fresh techniques.

In 2023, I had the privilege to participate in #HACK Singapore, a hackathon co-organised by Indigitous Singapore and Digital Wesley, aimed at mobilizing people for missions in a digital age. It was truly incredible to hear the hearts of individuals, organisations and the church as they sought tech-based solutions to augment their ministries and tackle challenges that they face — Marketplace Mentorship, Encountering God through Art and Media, Gamiifying Discipleship, just to name a few. Consideration of each problem statement showed me the potential roles that technology can play within the church, and what gaps and opportunities there are indeed!

My eyes were opened to the perfect blend between my faith, desire to build, and skills that have been gained through my formal education! Having realised this, my passion to build now has an outlet, seeking areas in and out of the church where software can aid processes and function as a multiplying tool, increasing the effectiveness of ministry. Hopefully, the work that I do glorifies God as well!

By the grace of God, it has since been such a wonderful journey as He brought me to different countries and communities, learning about the faiths of other peoples and the ways that they worship and serve. For example, I would never have thought that mobile games could be a viable way of telling about the story of Jesus! It is also in this journey that I have come to meet many like minded friends, with whom we now form a community sharing and mutually encouraging each other in faith and works.

Hallejujah!
